Asbjørn Søndergaard is an architect working in the field of digital fabrication in architectural design. He is educated from Aarhus School of Architecture, and founder of Design|Compute, a design firm framing architectural design experimentation in the field of structural optimization and computationel tools. His research focuses on topology optimiza-tion, morphogenetic processes and the development of novel structural logics in relation to digital fabrication techniques. Within the cross-institutional research project, Unikabeton, he elaborated topology optimization case studies and design of the first realized topology optimized concrete structure in collaboration with civil engineer Per Dombernowsky.
